On a day between rainstorms we walked through the green heart of Kamakura. We take photos of trees, light, and atmosphere. We eat bowls of small white fish and pickled vegetables. In the company of strangers our lives are made whole.

“Each sunset an orange peel we fold into our mouth, under the tongue. A way to impress beautiful strangers at parties.”

“The lean days of determination” - John Fante

“Forget about past walking, don’t think about future walking; one step, another step, no long ago, no now, no east or west, one step equals totality. Get this far and you understand the meaning of walking Zen.” — Taneda Santoka
